Christmas Games and Activities for Kids
The holiday season is a time for fun, laughter, and making special memories. At Little Pioneers, Pioneer Drive, Forster, we love to celebrate Christmas with exciting games and activities that bring joy to our children. Here are some of Little Pioneers favourite Christmas games and activities that your child can enjoy:
Santa Says
A Christmas-themed twist on the classic game of Simon Says. Children must follow Santa’s instructions, such as “Santa says, hop like a reindeer” or “Santa says, ring your jingle bells.”
Pin the Nose on Rudolph
A festive version of the traditional party game. Blindfolded children try to pin Rudolph’s nose in the correct spot on a poster.
Christmas Charades
Children act out Christmas-themed words or phrases while others guess what they are. This game encourages creativity and imagination.
Decorate Christmas Cookies
Provide plain sugar cookies and a variety of decorations such as icing, sprinkles, and candies. Children can decorate their own cookies to enjoy or take home.
Christmas Craft Station
Set up a craft station with materials for children to create Christmas-themed crafts such as ornaments, cards, or paper snowflakes.
Christmas Carol Sing-Along
Gather the children to sing their favourite Christmas carols. Provide props such as bells or tambourines for added fun.
Santa’s Workshop Dramatic Play
Set up a pretend workshop with tools, toys, and costumes for children to role-play as Santa’s elves.
Christmas Storytime
Read classic Christmas stories or poems to the children, such as “The Night Before Christmas” or “Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer.”
Christmas Scavenger Hunt
Create a list of Christmas-themed items for children to find around the childcare centre or outdoor play area.
Christmas Movie Marathon
Set up a cosy movie corner with Christmas-themed movies or short films for children to enjoy.
These Christmas games and activities are sure to bring holiday cheer to your childcare centre and create lasting memories for your children. We at Little Pioneers, Pioneer Drive, Forster, wish you a Merry Christmas and a joyful holiday season!
